How we handle your data.
When you interact with our Instagram automation or visit our site, this is what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

2. Data we collect
Through Instagram interactions
When you message us, comment on our posts, or reply to our stories through our Instagram account, we receive the following data through the official Meta Instagram API:
- Your Instagram User ID (a numeric identifier, not your username)
- Your Instagram username (if Meta makes it available)
- Your first and last name (only if publicly available on your profile)
- Your profile picture URL
- The content of your messages to our bot
- The content of your comments under our posts
- Timestamps of your interactions
When you provide your email
Some automated conversations request your email address so we can deliver material directly. In that case we also store:
- Your email address
- The timestamp of your consent
3. Why we collect it
We use your data exclusively for:
- Automated replies to your DMs and comments (sending requested material, answering questions)
- Personalization of those replies (addressing you by first name)
- Delivery of promised material to the email you provide
- Anonymized analytics to improve our content
We never sell your data. We never share it with advertising networks, data brokers, or third parties without legal basis.
4. Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — Performance of a contract (when you order material)
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — Consent (when you provide your email)
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — Legitimate interest (automated replies to public comments)
5. Who has access
- We do, on a server we operate ourselves, located in Germany
- Meta Platforms Inc., because the Instagram API delivers the data to us
- Email delivery providers, only when we actively send you an email
6. Where your data is stored

After the retention period, data is automatically deleted.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access your data (Art. 15)
- Correct inaccurate data (Art. 16)
- Delete your data (Art. 17)
- Restrict processing (Art. 18)
- Data portability (Art. 20)
- Object to processing (Art. 21)
- Withdraw consent at any time
- File a complaint with your data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email info@video-library-of-alexandria.com or send a DM with "DELETE MY DATA" to our Instagram account. We respond to deletion requests within 7 days.

10. Changes
